Big day!

Samantha had a very big day today. Not only does she have two new teeth poking through (upper left 1st and 2nd incisors), but she waved at me for the first time! We were sitting in the car, waiting for Adam and Julia who had gone into the bank. I waved at her in her mirror, and she waved back! It was a folding-hand wave, and it absolutely made my day!

Julia constantly amazes me with everything new that she says. On our way to daycare on Thursday, I asked Julia if she wanted me to pick out a scarf pattern (for a scarf for her) or if she wanted to pick it out. She said that she wanted to, but then followed with "later. Friends first." It was so cute! This morning Samantha was playing with their dragon ball toy, and put a ball into one of the holes, sending the ball down the dragon's neck and out it's mouth. Julia encouraged her with a "good job, Sammy" as I usually do. =)

We went to see Santa in Mantorville today. Julia was very excited about the idea, and was all prepared to tell him that she wanted a train and a big truck for Christmas. Of course this all changed when it was our turn to go see Santa. She wanted nothing to do with Santa. Samantha didn't want to sit on Santa's lap either, but that was more of a "my mom isn't holding me anymore" kind of issue. We're pretty sure Santa will get the message about what Julia wants, though.
