Julia has, for a long time, been a big fan of helping to feed the dogs. At first, it started with me scooping out the food, her sitting down in front of a bowl, and using both hands, she'd slowly tip the food into each bowl (usually dumping about 50% on the floor and needing to pick it up later). Recently, especially with her independence streak, she's been insistent on doing it herself. Today, while watching to make sure she wasn't giving the dogs too much, I noticed she opened the container, used on scoop to fill up the other, then used the spare scoop to LEVEL OFF THE SCOOP before dumping it in the dogs bowl! She wasn't about to give them more than a level scoop. Too funny. Then she went back for a second scoop, and of course had to use the opposite scoops this time (Sony gets fed with the measuring cup scoop, and Tails with the dog-food scoop - this is her rule, not ours).
I think the dogs have found their new best friend.
