Kids sure do say some funny things. Last week, Grandma Pam was at our house with the girls while our tile was getting installed in the mudroom. In the morning, they were all playing downstairs. When it was time for lunch, they came upstairs and Grandma told the girls they could watch tv while she got lunch ready. Well, that was about the time that the tile installer started nailing down the subfloor, which included using an air compressor and nail gun. In Grandma's words, "I was in the kitchen and suddenly Julia is at the doorway to the mud room yelling at the poor man to 'Be Quiet!' " Apparently he took it well and chuckled, and told her he'd be done soon. =)
This past Monday, Adam and I both picked up the girls at daycare. We had his car, and one of the carseats is currently in the far back. As Julia was crawling into the back, she stopped and said, "Damnit!" Adam asked her where she learned that word.......she said Mom and Dad. But let's face it, I think we all know who she heard it from. =) Adam handled it very calmly and told her we shouldn't use that word, and if she caught Mom or Dad using it, she should call us on it.
